Janelle Chase, also known as JC, is a Jamaican-born entrepreneur, creative strategist, host, dance instructor, youth advocate, and founder dedicated to helping individuals discover their potential and create opportunities for themselves and their communities.
After immigrating to the United States in 2011 and becoming a U.S. citizen in 2020, JC committed herself to building a life rooted in purpose, growth, and impact. Her journey has been shaped by both triumph and adversity, experiences that fueled her passion for helping others overcome obstacles and pursue lives they once believed were out of reach.
JC holds an Associate Degree in Social Services and a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Media Production and a minor in Leadership Communication. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with youth, families, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community organizations, helping individuals build confidence, access opportunities, and develop the skills needed to thrive.
As the founder of JC Creations, she specializes in creative development, talent mentorship, content strategy, branding, event hosting, and community engagement. Her mission is simple: to help people recognize their value, elevate their presence, and create meaningful opportunities for themselves.
JC is also the founder of J'Quo Dance Company, an organization established in 2013 with the mission of increasing self-confidence through dance. What began as a student-led initiative has evolved into a growing platform focused on creativity, leadership, self-expression, and community connection.
Beyond her work in media and dance, JC is passionate about financial empowerment, youth advocacy, personal development, and creating spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. She has served as a Financial Educator, youth advocate, community leader, and event host, using her voice and experiences to encourage others to pursue their goals despite life's challenges.
Whether she is mentoring a young person, developing a creative brand, teaching a dance class, hosting an event, or sharing lessons through her platform, JC remains committed to one belief:
Success begins when you decide that your circumstances will no longer define your future.
Today, she continues to build businesses, create opportunities, develop talent, and inspire others while proving that with vision, consistency, and faith, it is possible to transform adversity into purpose and purpose into impact.
